We have some videos here from practice and qualifying.
Vitaly:
George:
Vitaly run 2:
That spin spelled the end of Vitaly's day. We were all bummed for him but not disappointed in the least. He gave it his all amongst a more experienced field of competitors. He missed qualifying by a tiebreaker- the other driver to tie with him had been able to put up a second score and was awarded 16th qualifying position. He later broke his car in Tandem Practice and gave Chelsea an easy ticket to top 8.
some of the competition:
George vs. Cyrus [By thenape]
George vs. Chelsea
Chelsea advanced and George battled Josh Steele for 3rd.
At this point the s13.4 was unable to continue so George went on his "by-run" to 3rd place. Congratulations!!

XDC Day One
We got to the Track early to set up our pit area [Thank you JT.]

& set up the s13.4 for the first practice session.

George and his family were there right on time as well.

All the Arizona drivers ended up pitting next to each other. The Elevens' cars were looking so gangster and ready to Do Work. You can see Sam Yousif in the background unloading his LS1 350Z.

Practice started:

Ben Kunk

"Odi" Backhis

Jeff Abbot

Chelsea DeNofa

On Vitaly's first run he kicked the clutch, & having never been on a bank of any sort before, it caught him a little off gaurd.

George was getting back in the swing of things, earning his nickname as the Lumberjack.

Chris Forsberg was there with his completely comp-spec four seater M, laying down crazy v8 sedan runs.

Carlos Estrella hit the lower wall quite hard. Fortunately he was back out there for the afternoon session.

Vitaly's second run went like so:
Neddless to say his spirits were down. Luckily we had Dan & Kelly trackside keeping him in the car and continuing to do laps, not letting him be defeated by this huge blow to his confidence.

A little crowbar and slegde hammer time later, along with some humorous vinyl to lighten the mood, and it was time for session 2. After that, he was himself again.

Back in form!

We'll finish up Day One tommorow. Check ya later, brah.
